rolling all about the boroughs with Jake and his seastar AND HER Swedish siblings who were great and lovely and I want everyone to just come back…
then, as soon as they left, this young gentleman arrived. Cat world, meet Jono.
Jono, welcome to America! Jono is here to make a go of it in the land of opportunity, to find free things on the street (umbrellas! bibles! tiny sweaters! wine!) and revel in the price of cheese. Jono is here from New Zealand, where we last left him that windy sunny day in January (WHICH IS SUMMER THERE, GUYS) by the ocean. Since arriving Sunday evening, Jono has been staying in my cupboard, sweating and unable to sleep, haunted by the paws of our inquisitive Olive. Other activities of ours have included bumbling around, eating dumplings, and encountering cats. Jono has found many of them. His eyes must be sharper.
