Further Evidence

This is Suzanne, and she likes cats.

Suzanne and cat friend, Zilla.

Suzanne, a wonderful woman, talented archeologist, and dedicated reader of zee cat blog, spent some time in Dunedin herself and recalls this anecdote from her time in the deepest deep of all the souths.

While living on Chambers St. in the Northeast Valley (over by da Botans) someone had put up posters that they had lost their cat Blue. We commented about this just about each time we walked by, making various jokes at Blue’s expense. A little cruel in retrospect. Until one evening we were returning to the cold house on Chambers St, and we spotted a cat. It was very friendly and we scooped it up and played with it. Then we looked at each other and exclaimed “Blue!” We found a Blue poster and called the number. I think we left a message and someone called us right back (Gotta screeeeeen my phone calls!) They were happy to know we might have Blue.

We sat on the porch of the house enjoying our new friend, when some girl came down the driveway. It was an awkward introduction as she just wanted her cat, not new heartsick American friends. Turns out she was Blue’s owner’s roommate. (Had she lost Blue? Who knows?) She thanked us and there they went up the drive.

CATS EVERYWHERE.

And Suzanne knows cats. She lived with Zilla, seen above. And if this weren’t enough, please enjoy her recent find at the Huntingdon Goodwill!

About bearicaquinn

Smallish, smushy in the sad parts, certainly destined for cat-lady-dom. Enjoys boats, bikes, black coffee, pug faces, sourdough bread, the morning when you have slept long enough, beards, mountainsides, art, rooftops, etc. Will continue to live in things that are interestingly shaped. So octopus.
