Golden West Cat

Hey everyone, remember Tsi-Shi? Well, some of us never forgot.

Man and cat, reunited.

That’s right, Tsi-Shi is the familial cat of the Weller clan, and during our first two days back in America, we were fortunate enough to spend some quality time with this fair beast and the lovely humans who take care of him. And, to make matters even better, it was second Christmas!

How cozy.

Many many years ago, Jake and his bee-eff-eff Zak (who, by the way, is tragically allergic to horses) discovered Tsi-Shi and subsequently rescued him.

“Tell me about how you saved Tsi-Shi,” I asked, gathering facts for this post.
“We found him trapped in the screened-in-porch of the community center. We had to cut him out.”
“Of course.”

They were, like, seven or something.

The facts I know about Tsi-Shi are as follows: this cat can STARE. His gaze is unrelenting and simultaneously without interest. This cat is unimpressed.

Though not immediately affectionate, Tsi-Shi can be appreciated for the very essence of his cat-ness. He is the feline upon which the aloof cat stereotype is based. HE IS ALSO VERY CUTE.

Here is his brother, Seamus.

Tsi-Shi is highly intelligent and always tricks Seamus into relinquishing the much-coveted cushion by the fireplace. When Tsi-Shi comes upon Seamus occupying the cushion, he walks past him enticingly, which leaves Seamus no choice but to follow him. Unfortunately, Tsi-Shi takes that opportunity to steal the aforementioned cushion.  Poor pup.

Best seat in the house.

About bearicaquinn

Smallish, smushy in the sad parts, certainly destined for cat-lady-dom. Enjoys boats, bikes, black coffee, pug faces, sourdough bread, the morning when you have slept long enough, beards, mountainsides, art, rooftops, etc. Will continue to live in things that are interestingly shaped. So octopus.
