On Cats, Pam, and the Ending of Vacations

Hey hey, cat blog bros! Sorry for my absence; since my last posting I have:

  • been restricted to a vehicle for a total of thirteen hours, traversing five states (NC, VA, MD, DE, PA) in my efforts to come home
  • watched an entire season of Arrested Development
  • eaten six pieces of pizza
  • consumed ~fifteen cups of coffee (one right now!)

I even went to church! I have indeed been busy getting back to you. (For totally sweet and potentially corny vacation photos, click on the flickr link to the right. >>>>>)

Now I am home, nesting again, but preparing to rip out the roots of zee aforementioned nest in 2.5 weeks to continue our life in transit.

At least there is this blog to keep my head together…part of the reason I started it in the first place.

Here are some kitties sent to me by my good friend Pam– farmer, poet, arts organizer, knitting maven, mother, wunderbar woman, etc etc.

First, a slew of adorable photos– just a selection from the Pictures of Cute Animals Email she forwarded to me.

Let us all just sit back and enjoy THAT little piece of cat magic.

Pam also sends along a piece of Freekibble Knews regarding a particularly cute box-loving cat. The article reads,

Move over Hello Kitty, Maru is now the most popular cat in Japan! No doubt some of you have heard of this box-loving cat, but if you haven’t, here is the low-down on Maru… He’s a Scottish Fold who lives in Japan and his infamous box videos have won many YouTube awards, he’s been featured in numerous Japanese ads, and has even starred in a U.S. commercial.

Maru’s been in dozens of YouTube videos with tens of millions of views. His adorable, curious personality and his love for springing into boxes of any shape or size, provides endless endearing moments. So check out this video of one of the most entertaining cats out there!

Das video, for you.

About bearicaquinn

Smallish, smushy in the sad parts, certainly destined for cat-lady-dom. Enjoys boats, bikes, black coffee, pug faces, sourdough bread, the morning when you have slept long enough, beards, mountainsides, art, rooftops, etc. Will continue to live in things that are interestingly shaped. So octopus.
