The last installment of our California good-times ensues.
Don’t ever let anyone tell you I’m not into a good sculpture garden. (In fact, one of only things I actually knew about Pratt before I applied is that they have a sculpture garden embedded in lawn of their fancy campus.) As you can imagine, I went wild when I saw this piece at the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco!
Just gotta climb on. (I was in good company with the other children, etc.)
On our last day, Mormor and Madre took Jake and I down the windy, eucalyptus hills into Berkeley where we visited this excellent Jewish bakery, Nabolom, a co-op operating in delicious and delightful delicacies since 1976…they also seem to like jaguars?
Our bodies full of pasties and our faces freckled with the strong California sun, we boarded a plane bound for the east at sunset, and “woke up” in Boston, the land of the infamous Lauren Fallon (“Hi, I’m Lauren, from Boston!”) and also freedom, etc. Jake and I stumbled off one plane and got lined up for the next, sipping our underwhelming coffees and feeling our jets lag.
That’s when I saw the most excellent thing I have ever seen. Seriously.
A man in the adjacent row of seats was a true fashion hero, and has subsequently made the cat blog without even knowing it. Jake, grand co-conspirator-extraordinaire, took a series of photos of me havin’-good-timez-at-the-airport, but really he was just photographing THIS.
Totes complicit, brah.
