Hey you, beautiful. Here’s some urban-inspired cat content for you, and for you alone.
Our first week in Brooklyn, Bon Iver played at nearby Prospect Park and Quinn and Jake and I found ourselves in attendance. Loafing in the grass for free (the folks who paid got to actually see dear Justin Vernon, but whatever, we just sat outside the gates and let our ears do the walking), we passed the evening listening to the faint sounds of my collected young adult experience swooning through the thick evening and watching dogs waltz past with a certain lilt that spoke of loyalty and grace. Before walking home into those last strains of summer, we occupied ourselves on the swingset adjacent to the bandshell, giggling, taking in a truly spectaular version of Skinny Love. (It should be noted that this is the song I used to listen to when I was sad and drinking too much and it was raining and it was October and it was Friday night and I was holed up in the darkroom hiding under the red lights and sketching pictures of Jake I wanted to photograph because I was devoted to him but didn’t know how to say so and also it was raining, all the time, always.)
If this is giving you goosebumps slash making you want to throw up with the trendiness of it all, then good for you.
Anyway, turns out everyone’s favorite sad boy also likes cats! (Also at the concert, before beginning one song, he said something to the effect of “This song is about this girl I should have made out with on a beach but didn’t.” I hear you, bro.)
Thank you, Roy. You’re on a winning streak!
When Erik goes to cities, kitties come a-callin’.

Let’s just make it a family affair! Roy’s parents, the truly fantastic Sue and Jason, recently sent me this kitty image from their time in Greece. Superb!
Then there was this treat I discovered in the New York Times— who knew such joy could exist in this cold, cruel world?

Perhaps you remember my recent blog, part of which was sent forth from both Nancy and her daughter/restaurant-owner, Jaime….well, upon sending that post to her, she responded by simply stating
