I have been traveling home often, more often than usual– for Christmas, for birthdays, for art projects. My time back in the Poconos is decidedly pleasant, marked by long lazy afternoons playing Scrabble with my brother (mon bon croissant), long lazy woods wanders with our parents aaaaaand enjoying the long lazy company of The Kitten. Our lady of perpetual winking.

Cioci Tina sent Momcat this for her birthday. It is great.

Emma with the cat on top.

From behind.

Cat won't go willingly.

The Emmas find a cat, get with it.

Gazing out across the rooftops of millions, I breathe, sip my coffee, and wait for the part where Jake and I will be re-delivered to a land of forests and sands. Until then, we’ll just watch Roy turn this city into applesauce.

About bearicaquinn

Smallish, smushy in the sad parts, certainly destined for cat-lady-dom. Enjoys boats, bikes, black coffee, pug faces, sourdough bread, the morning when you have slept long enough, beards, mountainsides, art, rooftops, etc. Will continue to live in things that are interestingly shaped. So octopus.
