Gotta Get Down on Friday

What’s up, everyone? It is Friday. It is 11:13 am. I have been awake for five hours. I am astonishingly tired, but too pleased at the prospect of weekend visitors to mind much. Plus, there are cats, which never get me down.

Our beloved archaeologist wrote, some time ago,

I recently visited the lovely Miss Brosi, and whilst there her family’s kitty, Moki, was being particularly cute. He got real fancy when he took a seat on the couch. This photo was taken after he did some real weird darting around the kitchen. I was convinced he saw a ghost. Animals are keen to that sort of thing, eh?

I am also keen to that sort of thing.

She also sent along something that our beloved KRISTIN and CAIT had additionally contributed…something to truly tug at my heartstrings: cats imitating heart, via Buzzfeed.  Here, a selection of my favorites. Hey ladies!

Alfred Stevens, “The Bath” (1867)

Ingres, “Grande Odalisque” (1814)

Sir Joshua Reynolds, “Princess Sophia Matilda Of Gloucester” (1774)

Richard Edward Miller, “Woman In Blue Dress” (1909)

Titian, “Venus Of Urbino” (1538)

Rembrandt Van Rijn, Self Portrait (1628)

Kisses to all.

About bearicaquinn

Smallish, smushy in the sad parts, certainly destined for cat-lady-dom. Enjoys boats, bikes, black coffee, pug faces, sourdough bread, the morning when you have slept long enough, beards, mountainsides, art, rooftops, etc. Will continue to live in things that are interestingly shaped. So octopus.
