A Cat Named Maus Turns Four!

You all remember Maus.

Well, we here at welltailoredsuit are very pleased to wish her a happy fourth birthday!

It is my great pleasure to read the blog of her human, Clair, on the regular (Finding Clairity) and from Clair I gleaned these excellent details- an update, if you will.

Ok…so the first time Maus was featured, she wasn’t even two years old, and still being a crazy little kitten. Since then, she’s mellowed out a little bit, but she still makes us laugh with her silly habits. Lately she’s been dying to get beyond the confines of our apartment and has been jumping onto doorknobs to try to figure out how they work.

Since you last saw her, Maus had a little infected paw, but has otherwise been happy and in good health. She has developed a low-grade catnip addiction, but we actually encourage it.

And of course, she’s still her lovey, cuddly self when she wants to be. During the winter she’s a big fan of snuggling under the blankets. And when she’s desperate for my attention, she’ll stand on her rear legs and reach up for my shoulders until I pick her up.

Maus! I am so proud of you for being cute for yet another year. Here’s to many, many more.

Thanks to Clair for the photos and text! All the best to Clair and J from here at this table in Brooklyn, on the first day of March.

About bearicaquinn

Smallish, smushy in the sad parts, certainly destined for cat-lady-dom. Enjoys boats, bikes, black coffee, pug faces, sourdough bread, the morning when you have slept long enough, beards, mountainsides, art, rooftops, etc. Will continue to live in things that are interestingly shaped. So octopus.
